- Distance dominates everything. Botswana is roughly the size of France with a small, concentrated population. A site inspection can mean a 600 km round trip. Our hardware is built for months between visits: long battery life, solar power, remote diagnostics and over-the-air updates.
- Power ends where the towns end. Grid supply from Botswana Power Corporation reaches the main centres, but wellfields, cattle posts and mining outstations run on solar, diesel or nothing. We engineer the power budget per site — solar-powered sensor nodes and battery-buffered gateways that ride through outages and log locally.
- Coverage follows the A1 corridor. Mobile signal is solid from Lobatse through Gaborone and Palapye to Francistown, and thin to absent in the Kalahari and cattle-post country. We match the link to the site — 4G where it exists, private LoRaWAN where it doesn't, satellite backhaul where nothing else reaches — and every device stores and forwards.
- Heat and dust are constants. Summer field temperatures above 40 °C and fine Kalahari dust kill consumer-grade electronics. Enclosures, batteries and solar sizing are specified for exactly these conditions.
- Budgets in pula, priced honestly. Deployments start small — one wellfield, one plant, one outstation — with cost bands stated in writing after a free remote assessment.
