A monitoring supplier that only works with its own equipment is asking you to replace working plant to solve a data problem. addaNet reads over 500 industrial protocols — Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT and the rest — which means the starting question on every project is not what to buy but what your site can already tell us. On most plants that turns out to be a substantial share of the answer.

Control systems
PLCs and SCADA from Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Omron, Delta, Wago, ABB and others, over Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC-UA, MQTT, Profinet gateways and analogue or pulse I/O where that is what exists. We read them; we do not replace them.
Drives and motor control
Variable-speed drives and motor control centres frequently publish current, run state, run hours and fault codes already. That data is usually displayed and discarded, and recovering it is often the cheapest condition and energy monitoring a plant can get.
Meters and instruments
Energy meters, flow meters, level and pressure transmitters, water quality instruments — read by pulse, Modbus or analogue. Replacing serviceable metering is the last resort in a scope, not the first line.
Generator controllers
DSE, ComAp, Woodward and equivalents expose run state, hours, load, fuel and alarms over Modbus. On sites running substantial standby hours this is the fastest route to litres per kWh and to start-failure detection.
Where a measurement genuinely does not exist, we add our own low-power sensor hardware. The design rule is unchanged across every project: new hardware only where a measurement is missing.
Three relationships that make a project run better.
- Your automation or electrical contractor. They know the plant, the panels and the process, and they should keep the panel work, the control changes and the site electrical scope. We bring the instruments, the integration and the platform. Splitting a project this way consistently produces a better result than asking either trade to cover both — and it is how most of our projects actually run.
- Your calibration laboratory. Traceable calibration is performed by accredited laboratories and that is where your certificates come from. What we add is the engineering around it: the instrument register with make, model, serial number, parameter, range, frequency, last certificate and next due date, with alerts before anything expires — the half of the requirement that fails between calibrations rather than during them.
- Your existing platform, if you have one. Already invested in a historian, an ERP or a corporate dashboard? Good — that is a constraint, not a problem. We push data into what you already run rather than asking your team to open a second system, and a report that lands in the tool people already have gets read.
Why it matters what we don't sell.
In two of our markets this is the whole value proposition rather than a footnote. We do not sell electricity, and we do not sell meters on behalf of a supplier — which is exactly why our numbers can settle a billing dispute. Where a customer contests a prepaid water or electricity charge, the usual difficulty is that the only evidence comes from the party with an interest in the answer. An independent measurement upstream of the meters produces a second number, from someone selling neither the equipment nor the commodity.
The same logic runs through the verification work in Angola, Kenya, Tanzania and elsewhere: the meter measures the customer, and something independent has to measure the system.

The two businesses meet at a common point: a manufacturer weighing whether to add capacity or recover the capacity it already has. Sometimes the honest answer is a new line, and that is CISH's work. Often the answer is that the existing line is running well below what it could, and measuring first is cheaper than buying — which is the argument set out on capacity utilisation and lost output. Where a monitoring enquiry becomes a line project, or the reverse, the two teams work together under one group.
