Can you monitor a lodge generator in the delta?
Yes — that's a textbook site: solar-powered node, satellite or long-range radio backhaul, local buffering, alerts to the operations WhatsApp group. Fuel level, start events, load and outage history from a generator room nobody checks between charters.
How does fuel theft detection work across remote sites?
Continuous level telemetry distinguishes three signatures: smooth burn matched to run-hours, sharp off-hours drops (theft), and slow steady loss (leaks). Each raises its own alert with timestamps — and across a fleet, the site whose consumption curve doesn't match its duty stands out immediately.
What does self-generated power cost compared to BPC?
Metered litres and kWh give the true pula-per-kWh per set — typically a multiple of grid tariff, and worst on lightly loaded sets idling overnight. That number is what sizes solar-plus-battery investments honestly, especially for lodges and farms already paying delta-logistics diesel prices.
Does monitoring survive the load-shedding window itself?
Yes — nodes run on solar/battery, buffer locally and sync on restoration. The record is most complete during exactly the events it exists to document.
