How do we survive a six-day scheduled interruption?
With logistics, not luck: fuel-level telemetry across every tank feeding a burn-rate forecast, genset health watched under sustained load, and alerts staged before thresholds become emergencies. Sites that monitor treat a long interruption as an operation; sites that don't treat it as a series of surprises.
Can you monitor any generator brand?
Yes — controllers with Modbus are read directly; older or basic sets get retrofit sensing (current clamps, run-state, battery voltage, tank senders). Vendor-neutral, warranty-safe, any size from branch sets to MW-class plant.
How does fuel theft detection work?
Burn is a smooth curve matched to run-hours and load; theft is a sharp drop, usually off-hours; a leak is a slow steady loss. Continuous level telemetry separates the three signatures and alerts with timestamps — ending the month-end reconciliation mystery.
What does self-generated power cost per kWh?
Metered litres and kWh give the true figure per set — typically a multiple of the TANESCO tariff, and worst on lightly loaded sets. That number is what decides run scheduling, right-sizing and whether solar-plus-battery should take the small hours.
Does monitoring keep working through the outage itself?
Yes — that's the design case. Nodes run on solar/battery, buffer locally and sync when connectivity returns, so the record is most complete exactly when the grid is at its worst.
